6.34 A Conversation with Tori Lye
This week Jimmy talks with North Carolina theatre teacher Tori Lye. She talks about being called to teach theatre, writing a musical, and balancing teaching theatre and being a mom.
Teacher
Tori Summers Lye currently serves as the Director of Theatre Arts for the middle and high school programs at Trinity Academy in Raleigh, North Carolina. She began acting 32 years ago and earned her BA in Theatre Arts at Meredith College. Tori has directed for 16 years in community theatre groups and schools. This fall marks her 12th year teaching in the classroom. Her greatest supporters are her Tech Theatre husband, Jeff, and budding thespians Brooks, Cora and Lucy.
