Lincoln Center Teaching Artist
Jean Taylor is a longtime Lincoln Center teaching artist whose work has helped shape the field of teaching artistry, a term coined at Lincoln Center 50 years ago and now practiced around the world.
Jean is a fascinating blend of international artist and NYC theater staple: she’s hosted teaching artist workshops in South Korea, Hong Kong Australia and Mexico, taught theatrical clown classes at The New School and Barrow Group Theatre and toured her solo show Wild Hair through Brooklyn living rooms and hair salons.
As a lead facilitator for Lincoln Center teaching programs she oversees Summer Forum (July 9-12), a four-day convening of artist-educators exploring topics like climate, wellness, and creative leadership through the arts.
